Akane followed after Nam Il and puts a hand on his shoulder.
"I do apologize, I feel like the reason why we are so late and I also apologize for the..." Akane didn't sugar coat it. "Kusojijii, and reason why I apologize for that, is because he and I are not exactly on good terms..." Akane smiles and pats his shoulder. "And for what it's worth, I think you're doing a fine job and please, do not feel discourage because that negative energy will rub off on the rest of us and it will be an even more difficult journey."
Akane turns and heads into town to see what supplies she can gather for herself and for the group.

Tun Si: failure
Running off on her own, and failing to get anyone of the townsfolk to pay attention to her, Tun Si finds herself quite lost.
[Tun Si will need to roll a Perception check or one of the various interaction checks on a random NPC (streetwise, intimidate, diplomacy, etc.) to find her way back to the inn. She has some means of improving her modifier, if the player is clever enough.)
Meanwhile, Nam Il looks to Akane gratefully, but she leaves before he is even able to express it.
Akane, being familiar with the place, knows the locations of a market that sells basic traveler essentials, a blacksmith, and a magic shop.
[You need to travel to any of these, or use a means to search for new locations. Once you are at a shop of any sort, I will display the goods and services available.]

Akane traveled through the streets with ease until she came up to the shop she was traveling to.
It was an essential shop she would come to now and again for her short travels to her fortune tellings.
She opened the door into the shop and looked around for the shop owner. "Shop Keeper-san?"

Tun Si slapped herself mentally when she realized her carelessness resulted in her losing her way around the place. She stood around in one spot and kept calm, taking a deep breath and out through her shoulders, as she glanced around at the area she was in.

She sighed with relief when she finally reached the inn. But seeing none of her team-mates have come around yet, she decided to go inside to her designated room and settle in before she can head out again.
After locating her room, she set her backpack down and began sorting through her belongings.
Something tells me... She pondered, furrowing her brow into a small frown of concern. ...That this mission may require more than just my monk training. As much as I hate to admit it...I should also further the skills of my...noble heritage. She punctuated the last two words with a reluctant sigh before taking a moment to pause.
...If he has time, I should ask Nam Il to help me with my studies.

Nergüi had busied himself in the inn's stables, effectively browbeating and terrorizing the staff into ruthlessly military effectiveness through a mixture of threats and surprisingly good advice.
Having gotten the animals "properly cared for" (by which he meant they were better off than some of the inn's human guests), he sat down on a bale of hay with his bow across his knees
"Uhm... sir? Perhaps you would like to go... uhm... see the city?"
The Ulanese simply spat onto the ground.
"Leave these animals in your care while I wander about a city of terrified farmhands who'd certainly think I've come to rob the place? Not likely."
He threw the stableboy one of the coins from the pouch he'd retrieved.
"You live in this cesspit. Go. Buy arrows, and bring them back. If you fetch arrows of decent quality, I'll pay you well."

Aeon takes some time to seek out a bowyer and a blacksmith.
((streetwise [dice=20]+3))
And finds himself hopelessly lost as he lets his mind wander over the events of the past couple days, mulling over the small details he might not have noticed at the time.
As he comes out of this reverie he finds himself in a shabby looking neighborhood with shady looking types hanging out in doorways and gambling openly on street corners.
He puts a hand subconsciously on the hilt of his knife as he tries to figure out which direction he came from.[rand=122759911930188540269667438697069929778738413006073079577290918678]

[Aeon has an advantage in a scenario such as this. His telepathy can help him map out where he is by looking into others' memories or commanding someone to give you directions. With townsfolk, as long as you don't roll abysmally poor (9 or lower total score) you are usually certain to succeed in a manifest. The downside to this is if you try to work into the absolute wrong person, or if another psychic in the vicinity notices you because of activating your powers.)

[Nergüi's arrow stock has now doubled. Each basic quiver of arrows usually lasts about 5 battles on average.]

Aeon: Success Aeon remains cloaked as he silently burrows into a hapless waitress' mind. In moments, he has a clear idea of what most of the city looks like, and now knows the locations of a market that sells basic traveler essentials, a blacksmith, and a magic shop. Digging a little deeper, he also finds the location of a local shrine that has recently become haunted, and the postal building, which would allow him to send messages to Hoshidon or Rhasmapatra if needed. As he is slipping out, he receives glimpses of the young woman's less-than-happy memories, including occasional physical abuse from her boss, who also happens to be her landlord. Finally, Aeon receives information of the Kusanagi castle that overlooks the town. It is in fact the castle of the samurai lord Yusuke Kusanagi, the very same scarred samurai who was with the king's councilors on the first night of red stars. If Pai Chang is the one running the town, Kusanagi is most assuredly the man that Pai Chang answers to.

Akane looked at her bag and saw there was no coin in there she flushed slightly. "Hmmm...." She looks at the shop keeper and smiles gently and puts it all back.
Akane notices Duk coming into the store. Akane started to contemplate whether she should seduce Duk into buying the supplies she needs or just go out and charging for her fortune telling.
Akane shrugs and goes over to Duk. "Make sure your back at the Inn before nightfall, other wise Tama will have our heads." Akane than heads out of the shop. Once out she starts to head to the bar that she normally does her fortune telling.
Once at the bar she walked and went straight to her spot and waited patiently.[rand=8938276187982417345279415603727605405991664156307470161444507539]

"Great..." he thought to himself, "She's here too.
That was when he noticed her open her coin purse and flush ever so slightly before rushing out of the store quickly, stopping only long enough to admonish the Geshou like a child. Duk grinned.
"Oh of course, Akane, I'll make sure I'm back quickly." Duk spun sharply and thrust an accusing finger at the merchant
"Hoy! Do you know who that was? That was the great Jorogumo of the forest! She came here to supply herself for a journey of great importance and you did not even so much as offer her a discount?!
